Windows is telling me that it has the best driver already installed.Extensions Directory This page lists all available extensions for App Inventor I have tried updating the system's usb drivers, but that is proving difficult. I can then disconnect from the car, hook up the 12v adapter, and connect to the laptop and it communicates properly (once again about 80% of the time, if it doesnt work, I have to power cycle the dice and/or disconnect/reconnect the usb cable.) but I would always get the "unknown/malfunctioning device" error. I have tried different usb ports, rebooting, plugging in usb before connecting to car, plugging in after connected to car, etc. The Dice will power up when connected to the OBD2 port and the vehicle comm light will have activity, but I can not get it to connect to the laptop for the life of me.

I noticed that I would still get the "malfunctioning device" usb error about 20% of the time when connecting it to my laptop, but that was usually remedied by power cycling the dice unit with the ac adapter. The unit also appears in vida and would pass its test as well. I ran the dice diagnostic tool and it passed tests and everything seemed to be functioning correctly. I was able to connect with the new cable. I realized that I needed to install the dice driver that came with vida and did so without a problem, but I would still get the error upon connection. The unit powered up properly, but my laptop gave the "unknown/malfunctioning device" error every time I connected it. When the Dice arrived, I connected it to my laptop with the supplied usb cable and powered it with a 12v ac adapter. I have VIDA operating properly on the laptop with no issues. Running VIDA 2014D on a dedicated (old) Dell laptop - Windows 7 pro 32bit
